LOCKERGNOME

(March 24, 2001, Weekly Digest)

Your file manager's in my Web browser; your Web browser is in my file manager. How'd ya like a program with two panes... one for surfing the Internet and one for managing your files? How about a built-in archive manager? FTP client? Spam and POP3 mail monitor? Oh yeah, the "J" has all that. Want more? With it, you can send attachments to friends easily, delete identical files, and explore multiple folders on your system. And I'm leaving out the fifty other things it can do. In a nutshell: it's powerful and pretty. Flip views at the press of a button; just don't think that Explorer can do this on its own.

Buzzy's Stall Wall

(April 7, 2001, JExplorer Review)

Well, the program runs well but it takes a few moments to get going on my machine. For the features listed, it is worth the wait if JExplorer is what you're looking for. Besides that, it seems very stable. JExplorer has many features that an experenced internet user could use while online, all bundled into one great program. The compression utility is fast, the FTP client works great, and of course, it lets you work with your files really well too.
